4 th July 2007

 Socks On was nominated for three categories at The Biz Awards 2007: Most Innovative Company, Best New Start and Best Entrepreneur. Socks On attended the finals at the Royal Armouries in Leeds and had a great time. We even won one of our categories, Best New Start, which capped off the evening perfectly. Also, we would recommend the Quebecs Hotel for anyone staying in Leeds – their Egyptian sheets are to die for.

 

1 st June 2007

Socks On is an official Northern Region Finalist in the HSBC 2007 Start-up Stars Business Competition in Association with Sky News and the Daily Express. We were flattered to make this stage of the competition and hope we can continue our success into the next round although we do keep thinking their going to call us up and tell us it was a mistake any minute now. In response to this, we’re not answering the phone for awhile (you can still email). In the end they did call and told us we weren’t in the line up for the final ten ;(.

 

20 th May 2007

Socks On moved in to a second office in Leeds today. As a team we are geographically spread and having another place to call home is going to come in handy. Better still, our new work pad is fully kitted out with conference calling facilities, meeting rooms and a water cooler – happy days!

 

12 th May

Did you know…that if we were to never sell another pair of socks again the Socks On team could each wear a brand new pair of socks every day from now until retirement! So please subscribe!

 

14th February

Socks On has joined the Hull Central chapter of BNI, the world's largest business networking organisation! Socks On has been doing a good job recently of converting the members into the Socks On cult. As you can see below Sean is getting rid of their old smelly socks and replacing with some lovely Socks On socks! It has been said that the addition of the Socks On staff to the group has been 'an inspiration', so we're not going to complain!

 
 

 

27 th November - Grand Opening

Socks On now has a trendy new office. We used to work from home, but soon realised that a home is no place for enough socks to fill a skip. The office is shared with another company but we still have at least 20m2 of space, and the office has three desks, three filing cabinets, a drinks fridge and a kettle; the essentials.

9th October - Sock Aid

With Socks On now running like the Flying Scotsman it would be easy to sit back and relax. But no, the Success, or Sock-cess if you will, has motivated the Socks On team to give something back, and visit every major city in the UK throughout the Christmas Period to giveaway as many single pairs of socks to the public as possible. We believe no sock should be alone at Christmas. So we are going to give out the perfect match for that poor forgotten old sock you just keep on leaving in the back of the draw.
